Direct Hire/Full-Time Structural Steel Drafter/Detailer

 

Job Summary:
The Structural Steel Drafter-Detailer will transfer information from contract documents and governing codes into shop drawing format.

Responsibilities:
• Detail structural and miscellaneous steel.
• Collaborate with project managers and production managers.
• Transfer information from contract documents/governing codes into shop drawing format.
• Implement changes to shop drawings and ensure follow-through.

Relatable Titles, Skills, Experience:
• SDS2, AutoCAD, Structural Steel Drafter, Structural Steel Detailer
• Drafting, Microsoft Office, Adobe, blueprints
• Knowledge of AISC Standard connections, IBC, OSHA, NAAMM, NOMMA, ASTM, ANSI Codes
• Familiarity with AWS Welding symbols, steel joists and deck
• Product Designer, Manufacturing, Drafting Designer, CAD, Drafter
• Ability to pass a drug/alcohol screen

Perks & Benefits:
• Schedule: Day Shift, Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 4 PM
• Hourly Wage: Competitive, $32.00 - $35.00 depending on experience
• Position: Direct hire (start working for the employer immediately with benefits)
• Hours: Typically 40-45 hours per week (overtime paid at 1.5x after 40 hours)
