                                                                              Team lead Custom Machining

As the Team Lead of Scheduling, Programming, and Job Processing in the CNC Department, you will oversee multiple critical aspects of our manufacturing process like scheduling and programming responsibilities, processing jobs, ensuring efficient utilization of machines, maintaining high-quality standards and providing feedback to the design team for optimizing designs for manufacturing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for all CNC Department projects to meet specific project milestones and delivery deadlines, utilizing tools like Microsoft Project
• Monitor and update the schedule regularly to accommodate changes and prioritize urgent orders and collaborate with other department leads to align scheduling with overall company objectives.

2. Programming:

• Oversee, review and optimize the CNC machine programming team to ensure that all programs are efficient minimizing machine cycle times.
• Collaborate with machine operators to gather feedback on program performance and make necessary improvements and stay updated on industry practices related to CNC programming.

3. Job Processing:

• Analyze job requirements and time required for each operation and then break down tasks for each machine operation to optimize workflow and machine utilization to meet production goals.
• Ensure that job processing is aligned with quality standards and project specifications and providing feedback to design team for improvements to increase efficiency.

4. Outsourcing Management:

• Identify opportunities for outsourcing CNC cutting work when necessary to meet project timelines and ensuring that outsourced products meet delivery milestones and quality standards
• Collaborate with external vendors and manage the budget for outsourced work to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time delivery

5. Team Leadership:

• Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to the team members and conduct performance reviews with team members, providing feedback and setting goals for improvement.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team and collaborating with other department leads and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

 

     Other Details:

• Pay rate-$41-$45/hr
• Must be flexible for day and weekend shifts.
