Salary: $29-$31/hr

As Packing Shift Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for packing production within the facility, including operating and monitoring equipment and machinery. You will lead a team of unionized operators in the production and shipping of flour from the facility that runs 24/7. This position is a rotating 8 hour shift and will require overtime when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Supervise and lead the packing team to operate the packing equipment and execute the packing schedule for customer fulfillment.

·         Work effectively in a food processing environment in a safe manner and with high standards for product quality, housekeeping and sanitation in accordance to BRCGS and Food Safety procedures.

·         Follow a production schedule and perform all flour production changes as required as well as modify it to make sure production orders are deliveries are completed..

·         Monitor and assess the operation and condition of all equipment during the shift and maintain the action items list, indicating equipment that require repair and maintenance.

·         Complete required inspection reports and work orders accurately.

·         Perform troubleshooting and minor repair/maintenance as required.

·         Direct Staff to complete general sanitation according to schedules and work orders.

·         Report any food safety, product quality and/or food security incidents to the QA Department and relevant departments.

·         Ensure GMP, HACCP and Company policies and procedures are followed.

·         Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

 

Required Qualifications:

·     Experience in a manufacturing environment

·     Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

·     Understanding basic concepts of ERP systems

·     Mechanical aptitude

·     Possess a forklift license
