Salary: $100,000/year to $150,000/year

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plant Manager to oversee our client’s Western North Carolina manufacturing operations. As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our production processes. You will manage a team of supervisors and workers, optimize workflows, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of supervisors and production staff. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the plant operations, including production scheduling, resource allocation, and quality assurance. Ensure production targets and KPIs are met or exceeded.
Safety and Compliance: Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Cost Management: Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures as needed.
Quality Assurance: Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures to ensure product quality meets company standards and customer expectations.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production needs while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process improvement and waste reduction. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders. Report on plant performance, issues, and achievements regularly.
Training and Development: Develop and mentor staff to enhance their skills and capabilities. Identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth within the team.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5-10 years in a plant managerial or supervisory role.
Recent/current experience running a 50-150 person facility.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse and bilingual workforce. (English/Spanish)
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary:
