Overview:

A local cleaning company is looking for a Laundry Technician to join their team to operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment following established protocols and safety guidelines to deliver high quality laundry services.

 

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

• Operate industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines
• Clean and process textiles according to specified instructions and standards
• Load soiled linens and textiles into washing machines and dryers
• Ensure proper sorting and load distribution to maximize cleaning efficiency
• Sort soiled laundry by type, color, and fabric content
• Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and apply pre-treatment solutions as needed
• Measure and dispense laundry detergents, bleach, fabric softeners, and other cleaning chemicals
• Maintain accurate records of chemical usage and inventory levels
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage before and after processing
• Re-wash or re-treat items as needed to achieve desired results
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on laundry equipment
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to appropriate supervisor
• Monitor inventory levels of clean linens and textiles and replenish as needed
• Keep accurate records of inventory movements
• Adhere to safety protocols and sanitation standards while handling soiled and clean laundry
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials
• Work collaboratively with other laundry technicians and support staff to coordinate workflow
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address issues and ensure smoother operations
• Provide courteous and professional service to internal and external customers
• Address inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a timely and responsive manner

 

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a commercial or industrial laundry facility preferred
• Familiarity with operating industrial laundry equipment and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy loads of laundry
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Hours/Shift:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 10:00AM-5:00PM (could start earlier/later depending on workload)

 

Pay:
$17.00-$23.00 per hour depending on experience
