Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable Class A CDL Driver to join our transportation team. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely and efficiently transporting goods and materials to various destinations. Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and other large trucks, to transport goods and materials to designated locations.
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring that all items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes in accordance with company guidelines and customer requirements, optimizing efficiency and minimizing delays.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks and documenting any issues or concerns.
  • Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards, including hours of service regulations and weight restrictions.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage logs, delivery receipts, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, providing outstanding customer service and resolving any customer complaints or inquiries.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL Driver, preferably in a similar role or industry.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices, traffic laws, and DOT regulations, with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to operate and maneuver large commercial vehicles with precision and control, including backing up and parking in tight spaces.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including loading and unloading cargo and securing heavy items.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, with the willingness to adjust schedules based on business demands.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs) is preferred.
