Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 3:00 pm (4-10 hour days)
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a Lead Manual Machinist for a well-established Metal Fabrication Company in South Charlotte, NC. This company specializes in high-quality metal fabrication and is looking to expand its team with a skilled machinist to lead day-to-day operations.

Summary:

The Lead Manual Machinist will oversee the manual machining processes, including operation of manual lathes, mills, and stamp press machines. The role involves leading a team, ensuring accurate production, and troubleshooting machinery issues. Tool & Die experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manual Machining: Operate and lead the use of manual lathes, mills, and stamp press machines.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of machinists, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Tool & Die: Utilize Tool & Die skills for precise machining tasks.
• Machine Setup: Set up and calibrate machinery for production runs.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with manual lathes, mills, and metal stamp press machines.
• Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and instructions.
• Measurement: Perform precise measurements using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience with manual machining (lathes & mills) and Tool & Die.
• Skills: Ability to sharpen tools, set up machines, and perform accurate measurements.
• Leadership: Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machinery, blueprints, and technical specifications.
