Express Employment Professionals is now hiring for a great manufacturing facility that is in need of a Maintenance/Grounds Tech.
Job Summary:
Maintain the interior and exterior of buildings, and grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform minor repairs to facility buildings and some equipment therein, as required
Assist with various repair projects in an efficient and timely manner.
Perform grounds maintenance inclusive of lawn cutting, weeding and upkeep.
Assist with new construction and/or renovation projects to company facilities when required.
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
Gather and empty trash.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications
Maintains a clean and organized work area.
Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
Deliveries and pickups in company vehicles
Performs other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety, and applicable laws.
Education and/or Experience:
A High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or one to three years building maintenance or related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience in the safe handling and operation of a variety of hand tools. Must have valid driver''s license.
