Skilled Laborer

Located in Bremerton, WA

Salary: $22.00

The job of a Skilled Laborer entails assisting skilled craftsman in construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, structures, and equipment. This position is also a driving position.

 

Specific Responsibilities

• Help load, unload and haul materials, supplies, and equipment used in construction and maintenance work.
• Obtain, prepare, and deliver materials to the job site and assist in assembly and installation.
• Safely drive and maneuver a dump truck including, backing, hauling and dumping.
• Clean up and maintain shop areas, work sites, and storage areas.
• Erects scaffolding, braces, or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
• Assists with demolition of damaged buildings components.
• Assist job lead to construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Cutting timbers, lumber, and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drilling holes in timber or lumber.
• Prep, stain, paint, sand and/or smooth surfaces or lumber.
• Remove fixtures such as pictures or plate covers and properly protect them from damage.
• Assist in preparation of jobsite.
• Use hand tools to dig ditches and level earth to grade specifications.
• Perform a variety of tasks involving hands and tools.
• Sawing lumber, Dismantling forms, removing projection from concrete
• Cutting and installing insulation material
• Perform dump runs in company truck
• Carry out any assigned task

 

Requirements

• Must have current valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must have experience driving a dump truck
• Requires you to have some of your own tools
• Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction and direction
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety
• High standard of integrity and professionalism
• Punctual with great attendance
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area

 

Pay:
$22.00/hour
