Position: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright

 

Pay: $22-$30 per hour DOE

Hours: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday thru Friday 

 

Job Summary:

Provide on-site technical support for industrial equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications and installation support.  

                        

Essential Job Functions

• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial machine electrical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on various types of equipment. Perform fabrication when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.  
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer''s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
• Maintain and enforce safety and housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Must be able to wear a respirator in the areas that require it  
• You will need to be able to trouble shoot problems and think things through. Organizational skills are a must.

 

Experience/Skills Required:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a related field of work as a Maintenance Mechanic or Electrical Technician,
• 3-5 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial machine electrical systems, industrial machine plumbing, fabrication, and an overall understanding of mechanical applications.
• Technical education desired but not required,
• Welding experience highly desirable
• Good work ethics
• Must be dependable
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in computer and Windows software.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and without close supervision.
• Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
• General knowledge and experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
