Body Technician

Located in Forest Lake, MN

Salary: $22+

Express Employment has partnered up with a local manufacturer in the greater Forest Lake area to add a new Body Technician to their team. This person will prepare the truck for paint by sanding, grinding, and applying body filler. They will be expected to wipe down the cab with wax and grease remover.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous automotive experience working with a variety of engines, be a reliable employee, exhibit teamwork, and add value to our organization.  

 
Pay: $22+

Schedule: Mon - Thursday 6am-430pm with occasional OT on Fridays if needed
 

Responsibilities:
 

1. Clean cab using a wax/grease remover.
2. Inspects cab for defects and document in build book.
3. Sand area to be body filled, clean with wax and grease remover, and tape off areas needing protection from excess filler.
4. Apply body filler to required areas with a plastic spreader.
5. Remove excess filler and shape body filler to a quality finish.
6. Maintain tools and work area.
7. Expected to use power tools such as a D/A sander, grinder, and air-file.
8. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

 

 Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Auto body experience preferred 
3. Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment is a bonus
4. Willingness to participate in in-house training
5. Excellent listening and communication skills
