Maintenance technician

Located in round rock, TX

Salary: $20-$30 DOE

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing plant in Austin. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, eager to dive in, face new challenges, and is excited about building a career. Problem solving initiative with previous manufacturing experience preferred; food manufacturing is a plus! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and possess knowledge of food safety regulations and mechanical systems.

Responsible for:

 

· Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment through preventive maintenance.

· Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

· Dismantle machinery and replace defective parts.

· Determine changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.

· Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies, checking stock, and placing orders.

· Maintain building HVAC equipment for proper climate control.

· Address potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

· Building maintenance

Qualifications:

· Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic experience in manufacturing maintenance.

· Technical expertise in machinery and system maintenance.

· Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.

· Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.

· Strong analytical and reporting skills.

·  Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS

·  Backup Plant Manager for Emergencies

·  Food Equipment Exp is a PLUS
