Job Summary/Company Information:
- An industry-leader in the Shelbyville area is looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team!
- The CNC Machinist will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Measuring, marking, and using reference points on material as guides for subsequent machining.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills, routers, and grinders.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines and precision grinders.
Pay/Benefits:
- $22/hour
- Company offers PTO and benefits!
Schedule:
- 1st shift: 5:00am-3:30pm Occasional Overtime
Requirements:
- Must be able to read blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications.
- Must be able to determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required and method of setup.
- Experience calculating and setting up controls to regulate machine factors such as speed, feed, coolant, flow, and depth and angle of cut.
