Marketing and Communications Coordinator (Temporary)

 

Position Summary

This is a 4-month temporary position. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will champion the Company’s image and brand in the community. They will also market the Company’s diverse and impactful programs on various social media platforms. The temporary Coordinator’s creative energies will be used to develop and design collateral materials, as well as design and write social media posts.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design flyers, signs, and general marketing collateral on tight deadlines.
  • Monitor and maintain consistent brand image and voice on social media channels and communities with a focus on making impactful posts and shares.
  • Seek opportunities for the Company to engage relevant personas and groups in the market.
  • Track and report engagement and KPIs for media, public relations, social media, and community.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate marketing and communications requests with internal stakeholders.
  • Seek opportunities to tell the Company’s story, including participant success, community needs and donor impact stories, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support in creating advertisements for social media and events by taking quality photos and video.
  • Create original, error-free, clear, and concise copy for social media and website content, promotional and fundraising materials, community posts, and newsletters.
  • Make error-free content changes to company website via WordPress as needed.
  • Promote and enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives with internal and external stakeholders through all communication and marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate translation of marketing materials with bilingual staff.
  • Prioritize and complete marketing requests from the various departments.
  • Under the direction of the Mar/Com Manager, design ads and other creative materials for advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Represent Company to the general public, including but not limited to outreach at community events.

 Position Requirements

  • Belief in Company mission to provide food, warmth, and shelter.
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant emphasis preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of marketing, communications, graphic design or similar experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with social media marketing is preferred (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn)
  • Highly skilled in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Demonstrated Experience with WordPress website editing.
  • Ability to maintain client, vendor, and intra-departmental confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills with both co-workers and vendors.
  • Excellent organization, writing, and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • A valid Oregon driver’s license with a record that is acceptable under Company’s insurance policies.
