An Edmonton client is seeking a Welder to join their team.

 

Welder Highlights:

 

·         We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team. This position involves welding pressure equipment, such as pressure vessels and piping, according to our manuals and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a fabrication environment, excellent communication skills, and a solution-oriented approach to challenges.

·         Weld pressure equipment, including pressure vessels and piping, following specific manuals and procedures.

·         Read and interpret fabrication drawings to ensure accurate welding execution.

·         Report any material issues, quality concerns, or print discrepancies to the Foreman or Supervisor.

·         Communicate effectively, expressing thoughts and ideas clearly, directly, and respectfully.

·         Actively participate in departmental and company-wide initiatives, which may occur annually or quarterly.

·         Approach problem-solving with a solutions-oriented attitude, contributing positively to team dynamics.

·         Experience Required:

·         At least one year of experience in a fabrication environment.

·         Proficiency in various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW.

·         Education and Accreditation:

·         Must be a certified Journeyman Welder.

·         Possession of a B or C Pressure Welding Ticket is required.

·         An Interprovincial Red Seal is considered a valuable asset.

·         Skills and Attributes:

·         Strong technical skills with the ability to perform precise and accurate welds according to specifications.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address issues promptly.

·         Practical communication skills, with the capacity to convey information clearly and respectfully.

·         Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and safety regulations.

·         Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
