Position Description:

As a Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for projects valued up to $2,000,000. You will work closely with project managers to ensure accurate budgeting and support the creation of project documentation. This role involves critical thinking, precision, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve project goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·         Prepare and finalize estimates and budgets for new projects.

·         Create and manage electronic documents for order entry.

·         Enter project budgets and resources into the database.

·         Assist in developing revenue milestones and capacity planning forecasts.

·         Support project managers with budgeting for change orders and updating project budgets.

·         Write RFQs/SOWs to obtain subcontract quotes.

·         Perform due diligence to clarify project details, minimize risks, and resolve issues.

·         Support documentation requirements and processes as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Strong attention to detail, analytical, and critical thinking skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

·         Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents

·         2-4 years of experience in estimating and writing scopes of work for subcontract quotes

 

Preferred Requirements:

·         Experience with ERP databases, especially CloudSuite Industrial

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field
