Logistics Lead

Located in Round Rock, TX

Salary: $20.00-$31.00/hour

Express is working with a global leader in design, engineering and manufacturing in Round Rock is looking for a Material Handler/Shipping Expert.

This Logistics guru will be responsible to coordinate and lead the operation of the Shipping and Receiving sections of the Logistics and Materials department, assuring inventory accuracy, perform manual and administrative tasks required to effect proper shipment of completed Sales Orders and other shipments in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations.

Pay rate: $20.00-$31.00/hour – depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

 

What we’re looking for:

·         4 years’ experience in warehousing or shipping and receiving 

·         Must be computer literate and experience with UPS World ship and FEDX Ship Manager

·         Knowledge of Import-Export regulations with supporting documentation training in NAFTA, DOC, DOS and AES preferred.

·         Great organizational and communication skills with a positive and professional attitude

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stand for extended periods.

·         Experience in Syteline ERP and Lean Manufacturing a plus. 

Job highlights:

·         Oversee/lead all activities of material handlers; lead and provide direction to team members, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and employee time logs

·         Receives outbound shipments from Manufacturing, Stockroom or other departments and ships manufactured products

·         Completes export shipping documentation (e.g. Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Export Declarations, Destination Control Statement) accurately and completely

·         Maintains shipping logs and reports with current understanding of Harmonized System Numbers and Export Control Classification Numbers in compliance with applicable regulations

·         Maintain current Operating Procedures Manual for each position

·         Maintain effective inventory of shipping and packing supplies and stockroom materials and supplies.

·         Communicate with other departments resolve problems and updates on production schedules

·         Coordinate with Accounting department for release/hold of product.

·         Ability to perform duties of each material handler/shipper position
