An Edmonton client is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join their team.

• Job Opportunity: We are excited to offer a temporary position for an HR Generalist on a 6-month contract. This role is integral to supporting our various departments, ensuring compliance with CAC standards and labor laws, managing recruitment, handling employee relations, ensuring training compliance, and promoting a positive organizational culture.
• As an HR Generalist, you will be a crucial player in our team. You will be tasked with various responsibilities to maintain the effectiveness of our workforce.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the frontline and administrative staff recruitment process, utilizing platforms like Indeed and facilitating online applications.
• Conduct heavy phone screening of candidates to schedule interviews.
• Urgently fill 25 community support worker positions by the end of the month.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of candidate records in compliance with CAC requirements.
• Address and resolve employee relations issues with department heads and union representatives.
• Coordinate and ensure compliance with staff training and credentials.
• Conducted performance management investigations and provided coaching.
• Uphold the organization's mission, values, and ethical practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related five years, at least two years’ experience in HR, preferably within healthcare or social services.
• Strong understanding of labor laws, CAC standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS software, and ADP.
• Experience in workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
• Highly organized, process-driven, and capable of working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Union experience and CPHR designation are considered assets.

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM
• $58,000 to $62,000/year
• On-site free parking.
• Paid holiday break in December plus 15 hours of PTO.
