Job Description:
As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, fabricating and assembling sheet metal products, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of various fabrication techniques, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A solid understanding of HVAC systems and their components is highly desirable, as many of our projects involve creating ductwork and related components for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
• Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Fabricate and assemble ductwork and other HVAC components to specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Install sheet metal products and HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Operate and maintain sheet metal equipment such as shears, brakes, presses, and rollers.
• Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop efficient fabrication processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment.
• Strong understanding of welding, soldering, and metal forming techniques.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork fabrication and installation.
• Ability to work with various types of metal including aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
