Metal Finishing Lead

 

Express Employment Professionals – St. Paul, MN is assisting a small local sheet metal company to fill a Lead position on their team. Position is located in the St Paul area.

 

Pay: $20 – 22/hour DOE

 

Schedule:   1^st Shift Monday – Thursday with possible OT on Friday’s 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

                   2^nd Shift Monday – Thursday with possible OT on Friday’s 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM

 

Responsibilities include:

 

• Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to Company ISO9001:2015 and Quality standards
• Understands and promotes company’s mission, values and quality policy.
• Exhibits the personal characteristics we value of good attitude, intelligence, integrity and humility.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Understanding of basic hand inspection tools i.e. Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Indicators.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability in a machine shop environment.
• Good judgment and decision making skills.
• Good attendance and punctuality and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Able to work independently, with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills & Requirements:

• 2+ plus years of precision metal finishing experience.
• 2 + years of experience leading a team of sheet metal operators
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical or trade school training program a plus.
