POSITION SUMMARY

The Service Repair Technician is responsible for assessing, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance to swimming pool/spa/water feature equipment.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

As a condition of employment, the essential requirements include, but are not limited to the following: Valid Driver’s License, Clear Driving Record, Negative Drug Test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing a wide range of Service duties, including but not limited to: Engaging Customers and responding to work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair improperly functioning and/or non-functioning equipment, Disassembling/Cleaning filter cartridges, Covering/ Uncovering pools, Testing water chemistry and adjusting as needed to maintain proper balance, Logging and reporting Customer equipment issues (faults, leaks, etc.) pool damage, water quality problems, etc., (if any) to Service Team, Operating company vehicles to transport materials and equipment and reporting issues (if any), Operating and inspecting tools and reporting issues (if any), Thoroughly and accurately documenting daily time and visit information on work forms, Returning work forms to the office Service Team and promptly communicating site issues, customer requests.
  • Assisting in an entire team effort
  • Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
  • Reading and understanding employment manuals and other work-related documents
  • Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work vehicle
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work; Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Being organized with the abilities to prioritize and multi-task are a plus

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Monday-Friday: beginning 7:00 a.m. until the assigned orders are completed or as instructed/coordinated by the Service Office Team/Service Manager
  • Saturdays: as needed, beginning 8:00 a.m. until the assigned orders are completed, mainly during the Spring/ Summer season (1st Saturday of April until Labor Day in September), as instructed/coordinated by the Service Office Team/Service Manager

Hand-eye coordination is essential. The employee is sometimes exposed to unusual elements, such as high temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, humidity, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Other hazards may include, but are not limited to, cuts, slipping, tripping, falls and burns. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
