Ready-Mix Driver

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to various job sites. You will operate a mixer truck, load and unload concrete, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to safety protocols and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving and Delivery:

  • Operate a ready mix truck to deliver concrete to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Follow designated routes and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and updates.

• Loading and Unloading:

  • Ensure the proper loading of concrete at the plant, verifying the correct mix and quantity.
  • Safely unload concrete at customer job sites, ensuring accurate delivery to the specified location.
  • Operate the truck’s controls to pour concrete in a controlled manner.

• Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and lights.
  • Report any maintenance issues or mechanical failures promptly to the maintenance department.
  • Keep the truck clean and in good working condition.

• Customer Service:

  • Interact professionally with customers at job sites, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive delivery experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in the ready-mix or construction industry.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Ability to operate a mixer truck safely and efficiently.
