We are currently hiring for a plastics injection molding company in Lexington. This is a direct hire position for a plastic injection molding process technician.

Openings are currently on 1st shift 7:00am-3:00pm, 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:30pm and 3rd shift 10:30pm-7:30am

Pay range is $20-24

Business Side

• Support, strengthen and advance the mission and operating philosophy of the company
• Abide by all regulations within the Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required training programs.

Responsibilities and Authority

• Start-up and maintain molding machines for production by entering data per approved setup sheets.
• Submit first and last piece articles to the Quality Department for approval.
• Monitor accuracy of process setups thru out shift (Daily Verification of Setup Monitoring Sheet).
• Stop production and/or delivery if necessary to correct quality problems.
• Ensure that all machines are running at approved cycle.
• Troubleshoot and answer machine alarms to improve production and reduce downtime.
• Set molds.
• Assist with paperwork needed to track changeover times.
• Check the auxiliary equipment to ensure it is operating correctly, everything is functioning.
• Have flexibility to complete projects assigned by the Plant Manager or Shift Supervisor.
• Maintain the Quality Management System as it pertains to area of responsibility.
• Use appropriate safety equipment.
• These responsibilities are flexible and may change as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of or experience with plastic processes, machinery and their affect on quality.
• Ability to manage and train employees.
• Forklift training.
• On-the-job training
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
