JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The QC Inspector reviews product at various stages of the production process to determine and maintain quality and reliability. The position is required to provide guidance based on accurate interpretation of internal company SOPs or work instructions, industry standards, customer blueprints and other guidance documents. The position requires independent, sound judgment and initiative. The right candidate will possess good interpersonal skills, the ability to Identify and act upon areas of needed improvement, and willingness to assist with all other departmental functions by teaming with employees in a cross-functional setting.

 

TYPICAL JOB FUNCTION

Efficiently perform First Article through Final Inspection

Communicate effectively to build strong professional relationships.

Maintains various electronic logs and scan documents for traceability.

Generates Inspection reports using the ERP system, traveler, or other software.

Assist and/or train co-workers in areas of QC Inspection.

Support and assist with functional inspection activities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is required to:

Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor.

Regularly lift 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED

· Between 2 to 7 years of trade school, vocational education, Quality control work experience, and/or apprenticeship in a manufacturing or workshop environment.

· Ability to understand and interpret blueprints (GD&T) and all applicable drawings

· Must understand ANSI Y14.5 and True Position, first angle projection, third angle projection.

· Availability to work Saturdays on occasion

· Must be flexible and capable of working in a very fast paced, fluid environment.

· Proficient in most common types of inspection equipment including but not limited to: Micrometers, Calipers, Surface Plate, Height Gages, Thread Gages, depth micrometers, Optical Comparator, and other similar tools.

· Thoroughly familiar with MS Office applications.

 

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED

· Bilingual desired (English & Spanish)

 

 

COMPENSATION: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

10 hour shift

8 hour shift
