Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Sign Installer with a strong background in electrical work and welding/fabricating to join our team in Texarkana, TX. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of signage for commercial and residential clients. The ideal candidate will have technical proficiency and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Safely and accurately install signs of various sizes and types at different locations, following technical drawings and specifications.
Electrical Setup: Connect electrical systems to signs, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and standards for safe operation.
Welding and Fabrication: Fabricate sign components and structures as needed, using welding techniques to ensure durability and stability.
Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on installed signs, including electrical troubleshooting and structural adjustments.
Site Preparation: Prepare and clean installation sites, ensuring that the area is safe for work and installations are securely mounted.
Documentation: Complete necessary documentation related to installation projects, including compliance forms, service logs, and customer sign-off.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear while performing tasks, particularly when working at heights or with electrical and welding equipment.
Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns and ensuring satisfaction with the installation process.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in sign installation, with a strong background in electrical setups and welding/fabricating.
Skills: Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, welding, and use of power tools and heavy equipment.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical work or welding are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical work, welding, or a related field preferred.
Attributes: Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working in various outdoor conditions.
