Location: Fletcher/Arden Area
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay: $22 per hour benefits once hired

Job Summary:

As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating saws and other machinery to cut wood and various materials accurately and efficiently. Your role is crucial in ensuring that materials are cut to precise specifications, contributing to the overall success of our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Setup: Prepare and configure saws and other machinery for operation.
• Inspection: Regularly inspect equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Blade Installation: Safely install and replace blades as necessary.
• Measurement: Use tape measures and other tools to measure materials and determine cutting lengths according to specifications.
• Operation: Operate saws and machinery with precision, maintaining safety and efficiency.
• Quality Control: Check finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure longevity and optimal performance.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role within a machine shop is essential.
• Skills: Proficiency with tape measures and strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure precision in cutting and adherence to specifications.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks involved in operating machinery.
• Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
