Salary: $18-$22+/HR (DOE)

Local industrial shop seeking welders. Welders must be skilled in reading blueprints and technical diagrams, operating welding equipment, and following safety protocols.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine welding specifications
• Select the appropriate welding process, filler metals, and shielding gases based on the material type and thickness
• Set up and operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders
• Perform various welding techniques 
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
• Maintain detailed records of welding work performed
• Some travel could be involved, but currently all jobs are local.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a welding training program or vocational school is a plus
• 1-3 years of experience as a welder, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting
• Certification in one or more welding processes (e.g. AWS, ASME) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor

 

Full-Time, Long term opportunity

$18-22+/hr (DOE)
