Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Located in Dickson, TN

Salary: $15 - $16 / hour

Job Description: 

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Paralegal/Legal Assistant with a Local Law Office.  This position will pay $15 - $16 per hour, and the hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 4pm.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the preparation and filing of legal documents with courts
• Assisting in drafting pleadings, discovery responses, and motions
• Scheduling, confirming, and assisting lawyer in preparation for depositions
• Providing administrative assistance to attorney, including managing calendars, calendaring deadlines for responses to legal documents, and handling expenses and invoice payments
• Drafting and processing incoming and outgoing correspondence- including mail, emails and faxes
• Preparing, organizing and maintaining the firm's paper filing system
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Law Firm experience preferred
• Punctuality and reliability
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and typing speed over 60 WPM
• Ability to exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment, utilizing excellent judgment, and decision-making skills
