Heavy Equipment Operator

Located in Longview, TX

Salary: $17/hr.

Express Employment is not hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for local construction company. 

 Job Duties:

• Traverse uneven surfaces safely 
• Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading 
• Understand and apply safe trenching/excavation techniques when applicable
• Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging 
• Operation of various equipment for general site preparation
• Perform curb markings, stripping operations, and/or other pavement markings as required
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned
• Operate equipment efficiently and safely 

Job Skills/Experience Needed:

• Minimum 1 year experience 
• Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications 
• Ability to dig at specified levels, not over or under cutting
• Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards 
• Ability to move stock piles
• Must understand grade stakes (ribbon and paint color and meaning)
• Understand and practice safe truck loading techniques

Job Details:

• Hours: Monday - Friday - 10 hour days
• Starting pay of $17 per hour due on experience
