CNC Machinist

Job Requirements:

• Plans machining on all mills by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Programs all mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
• Sets-up all mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, and touring other manufacturing facilities.
• Provides knowledge and experience in improving processes and outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educations and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED and/or Technical School Graduate with concentration in CNC Mill operations or industry recognized certification.
• Experience with Okuma and/or Fanuc preferred.
• G-Code/M-Code Preferred

Pay: $25-30

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm; M-Th

The CNC Lathe Operator III produces machined parts by setting up and operating CNC Mill machines, bar feeding or bar pulling operations, verifying machine operation, maintain accuracy and tolerances, and update travelers and routings.
