Job Overview:

A Stockroom Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the supply chain and inventory management within the company. This position involves handling a variety of tasks related to the storage, retrieval, and distribution of restaurant supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
    • Accurately log inventory information into the system.
    • Perform regular inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock levels.
    • Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring items are easily accessible.
  2. Order Fulfillment:

    • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for delivery or customer pickup.
    • Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation.
    • Ensure all orders are processed in a timely manner.
  3. Stockroom Maintenance:

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment.
    • Monitor and report any discrepancies or damages to stock.
    • Ensure proper storage conditions to preserve the quality of goods.
  4. Customer Service:

    • Assist customers with locating and retrieving items from the stockroom.
    • Provide excellent service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure seamless order processing.
    • Coordinate with other departments to support overall business operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
    • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
    • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items, and stand for extended periods.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
