Accounting Clerk - Construction

Salary: $16.00 - $22.00

Work schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; rare weekend work may be requested depending on the scope of the project

Pay Rate: $16.00-$22.00/hour

Job Duties:

·         Coordinate submittals, material orders, and jobsite deliveries with Purchasing

·         Ensure accurate billings

·         Provide change order proposals as needed

·         Handle project paperwork (contracts, change orders, project-specific forms, etc.)

·         Manage job costs by tracking spending

·         Determine billable costs each month for each project

·         Enter information into the accounting system

·         Review contracts and prepare and distribute subcontracts

·         Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work

·         Generate proposals for customers

Requirements:

·         2+ years’ experience in customer service, data entry, or administration

·         Highly Proficient in Excel

·         Experience in a construction environment

·         Experience with payroll (including certified payroll), A/P, A/R, billing, credit & collections, etc.

·         Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including analysis and reporting data

·         Ability to handle moderate to high transaction volume

·         Ability to work both on a team and independently

·         Ability to work with a variety of technology platforms and enjoy learning new technology
