Express Employment is looking for a Delivery driver that can operate a 5 ton truck.
This job will involve driving a 5-ton truck, around the city of Calgary, and possibly further.
Must be comfortable driving in all weather conditions.
The job will involve some lifting/pulling/bending/standing/sitting/push and drive.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment or manual labor
- Verify the contents of each delivery against shipping documents and obtain signatures from customers
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must have at least 2 years experience with driving a 5-ton truck
- Willingness to drive in all weather conditions
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn (is an asset)
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor maintenance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of heavy items
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Note: Experience in freight delivery is preferred but not required.
