Job Title: Vet Tech

Location: Brandon, FL

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Vet Tech to join our team in Brandon, FL. In this role, you will be directly responsible for the care of cats in our facility. Your responsibilities will include handling their food, bathing, grooming, and administering medication. As a Vet Tech, you will provide comprehensive medical care and support for the cats, ensuring their well-being and health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care for cats, including feeding, bathing, grooming, and administering medication.
• Perform routine health assessments and monitor each cat’s health status.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and assist with diagnostic procedures and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain and manage accurate medical records for each cat.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans for cats.
• Ensure that the kennel environment is clean, safe, and supportive of the cats' well-being.
• Support the behavioral and enrichment needs of the cats.
• Educate pet owners on proper care and wellness practices for their feline companions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Vet Tech or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of feline care and behavior.
• Ability to handle cats with care and compassion.
• Proficiency in administering medications and performing basic veterinary tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working with animals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
