Our Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join their dynamic team. This position involves working with precision machinery to produce high-quality parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own set-ups and must be experienced with tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform set-ups and operate milling and lathe machines.
· Work with tight tolerances to ensure precision and quality.
· Interpret engineered drawings and sketches to produce accurate parts.
· Use various monitoring and measuring devices and instrumentation.
· Maintain good housekeeping and organizational skills in the workspace.
· Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
· Follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
· Operate other equipment as required.
· Work with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
· Exhibit a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
· Work well with others in a collaborative environment.
· Be responsible and punctual.
· Work overtime as required.
Required Qualifications:
· Licensed Machinist or equivalent experience.
· Proficient with milling and lathe machines.
· Ability to perform own set-ups.
· Experience working with tight tolerances.
· Strong understanding of engineered drawings and sketches.
· Proficient in using monitoring and measuring devices.
· Good communication skills and work ethic.
· Responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
· Must have own basic tools and reliable transportation.
· Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
Employment Details:
· Hourly Rate: Based on Experience.
· Day Shift: 5 days/week (Monday to Friday)
· Afternoon Shift: 4 days/week (Monday to Thursday), currently noon till 10:00 PM, subject to adjustment as needed.
· Shift Premium: $2.00/hr for afternoon shift.
