Salary: minimum wage - $18 per hour

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a temporary Salesperson on behalf of our client who operates a leading specialty building materials store in Dartmouth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service
• Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities with new and existing customers
• Communicate with customers in person, by telephone & by e-mail
• Promoting the company's products, and provide excellent product knowledge
• Accurately mix paint and stains for customers
• Provide accurate quotes to customers 

Requirements:

• Previous customer service experience is required
• Reliable and engaged with a strong work ethic
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven sales experience with the ability to meet or exceed targets
• Able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with building materials and/or paints and stains is an asset
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to attend trade shows and events

Our client offers:

• Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
• No weekends!
• Pay is minimum wage - $18 per hour based on experience
• This is a temporary role that has the potential to lead to a permanent role
