Job Title: Crusher Mechanic

 

Job Overview: As a Crusher Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of crushing equipment. Your primary focus will be on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, conducting regular inspections, and performing preventive maintenance tasks to maximize equipment performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Equipment Inspection:

    • Conduct routine inspections of crushing equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical issues.
    • Inspect crushers, conveyors, screens, and other related components for wear, damage, or malfunction.
  2. Maintenance and Repairs:

    • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in crushers.
    • Replace or repair defective parts, such as bearings, belts, gears, and hydraulic components.
  3. Troubleshooting:

    • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
    • Work with other maintenance and operations personnel to identify and address equipment-related problems.
  4. Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
    • Provide reports on equipment status, issues, and maintenance history.
  5. Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
    • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed during equipment repairs.
  6. Collaboration:

    • Coordinate with other maintenance and production teams to optimize crusher performance.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators to understand equipment requirements and address concerns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical maintenance is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a crusher mechanic or similar role in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in a industrial work environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
