A leading construction company specializing in multifamily, commercial, and residential projects is looking to add an estimator to their growing team.

Seeking a skilled Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating bids for multifamily, commercial, and residential construction projects. Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software is essential to be successful in this role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred. Additionally, the candidate should possess programming skills and an in-depth knowledge of programming concepts to enhance the efficiency of estimating processes. The ability to read blueprints and interpret architectural drawings is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Utilize PlanSwift estimating software to perform quantity takeoffs and generate detailed estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies to ensure accurate estimates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and present estimates to clients.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software.
• Strong programming skills and the ability to develop custom tools and scripts to streamline estimating processes.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
• Familiarity with reading blueprints and interpreting architectural drawings.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
