We are seeking Punch Press Setup Operators for our client in Lake Zurich. This is a Direct Hire opportunity! Ideal candidates will offer 3 years of experience with punch press machines and tools. As Punch Press Setup Operator, you will set up, adjust, and operate punch press machines until accurate production has been achieved:

Duties of a Punch Press Setup Operator:

• Make necessary adjustments to assure the machine is properly set up.

• Set up tools and debug.
• Adjust and issue press stoppage when process is out of control.
• Read and understand blueprints and instructions.
• Inspect finished product for defects.
• Use of inspection tools-micrometers and calipers.
• Handling raw material.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience with punch press machines and tools.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, hand tools, wrenches, and maintenance tools for installing dies.
• Able to comprehend written and oral instructions.
• Math skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and decimals.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
