Maintenance/Service Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Hands-On Service Manager to lead our equipment maintenance and repair operations at our recycling facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in equipment maintenance, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and the ability to effectively manage a team of technicians.

Shift: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (Overtime available)

Key Responsibilities:

1. 5 years of experience leading and supervising a team of equipment technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
2. Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all equipment at the recycling facility, including sorting machines, balers, and shredders.
3. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and perform necessary repairs.
4. Coordinate with equipment suppliers and vendors for maintenance services and spare parts procurement.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all equipment maintenance activities.
6. Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies, and order replacements as needed to minimize downtime.
7. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and reduce repair costs.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a recycling or similar industrial setting.
2. Strong technical knowledge of recycling equipment such as sorting machines, conveyors, balers, and shredders.
3. Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team of technicians.
4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
5. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
