Technical Support Specialist I: 

Job Summary: Assists with the day-to-day support of Western States Equipment’s computing environment, providing user assistance with hardware and software issues. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide first-level IT Service Desk support via email, IM, chat, over the phone, and in person.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction in all communications, providing fundamental end-user training, as appropriate.
  • Evaluate and resolve end user computer, mobile, and connectivity issues.
  • Install and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripherals in a network environment.
  • Utilize asset management systems to track inventory and technical issues.
  • Assist in researching, testing, and implementing new technologies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform user administration tasks, including provisioning/de-provisioning and permission assignments.
  • Imaging and delivery of new workstations to employees.
  • May pursue issue resolutions by working with external technology vendors and providers.
  • Create and maintain system documentation with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity personnel to assist in problem resolution where necessary.
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Work within and promote the corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to perform off-hours support and maintenance, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays with short notice.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • Ability to perform job functions with general supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English). 

Education & Experience:

  • Associates degree in Networking, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CompTIA or Microsoft MTA Certifications preferred.

Other details:

  • Position is Temp-to-Hire
  • Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
  • $18/hr.
