Duties of a Production Lead:

• Responsible for ensuring on-time processing of production orders on the line.
• Oversee a production team and demonstrate expertise within a quality and production driven environment.
• Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are being followed.
• Responsible for maintaining production machinery, changing equipment fixtures, and monitoring for calibration and repairs as necessary.
• Mix ink needed for printing production and properly dispose of waste according to safety policies.
• Programming and setting up equipment according to production orders.
• Perform visual inspection of finished product to ensure quality standards are met.
• Work with the Production Supervisor to organize, prioritize, and assign daily work order schedule.
• Complete all related production paperwork (both physically and electronically).
• Assist with inventory discrepancies as necessary.
• Participate in 5S housekeeping tasks and ensure production areas are kept clean and organized.
• Participate in process development, training, and monitoring of performance metrics for production team.

 

Ideal Candidate Background:

• At least 3 years of leadership experience within an assembly or production environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, machinery, fixtures and tooling is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety protocols (5S, ergonomics)
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with lifting up to 40lbs.
