Position Overview: As the Division Farm Controller, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within our farming operations. You will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our division. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning and analysis activities for the farming division, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and processes to optimize operational efficiency and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, supporting decision-making processes and driving long-term profitability.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial reports and analysis to stakeholders, including executives, investors, and board members.
  • Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes, ensuring alignment with production and sales objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including operations, sales, and procurement, to drive integrated business strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, staying abreast of changes and developments in accounting practices and regulations.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or controller roles within the agriculture or food industry.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with famous software systems (mention specific software if applicable) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities, with a track record of leading high-performing teams and driving results.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
