Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our client's team in Portland, OR. This Evaluation-To-Hire opportunity with our client offers a chance to excel in a dynamic industry.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and cultivate prospects to expand our client base.
• Stay abreast of market trends and competitive activities in the roofing industry.
• Develop and nurture relationships with clients, emphasizing quality and stellar customer service.
• Prepare project quotations promptly, maintain project documentation, and follow up on quotations.
• Conduct regular visits to job sites.
• Maintain close communication with major suppliers and stay updated on product knowledge.
• Contribute to team objectives as required.
• Meet defined sales targets.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in business development, including prospecting and networking.
• Ability to interpret construction specifications, drawings, and technical data.
• Comfortable with cold calling and proactive in seeking new sales opportunities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various situations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Basic computer skills, including CRM software, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
