About the Role: As a Total Worker Health Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Total Worker Health® (TWH) initiatives. Under the guidance of our TWH Adviser and alongside our dedicated team, you'll engage in meaningful projects aimed at enhancing the well-being of workers. From collaborating with internal and external partners to analyzing data and proposing recommendations, you'll be at the forefront of creating a healthier, safer work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in TWH initiatives, working closely with our TWH Adviser.
• Collaborate with business partners to gather and analyze data for impactful recommendations.
• Learn and apply occupational safety and health concepts through a Total Worker Health® approach.
• Contribute to the development of TWH resources, trainings, and project proposals.
• Participate in training opportunities to enhance TWH and safety and health consultation skills.
• Engage in team meetings and committees to foster collaborative work processes.
• Manage and complete assigned projects with diligence and efficiency.
• Embrace diverse perspectives and cultivate an inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in occupational or public health, with knowledge of Total Worker Health® concepts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, handling complex and confidential tasks.
• Strong problem-solving, research, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer and word processing skills.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in public or occupational health, safety, or environmental health sciences.

Additional Information:

• This position may involve driving, requiring a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Opportunities for occasional travel to regional offices.

 

Schedule: This position will be a 20-hour/week assignment, from July through September 2024.

 

Pay: $22.00/hr.
