Position: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Type: Full-time

Shift 5:00am – 1:30pm (Overtime as needed, hours may vary)

Pay: $20.00 per hour

 

Overview:

We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Mechanic. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Install, maintain, and clean a variety of equipment related to air compressors, including cooling towers, refrigerated dryers, water pumps, blowers, thermostats, and electrical systems.

·         Assist in installing, maintaining, and servicing punch presses, injection molding presses, and various manufacturing equipment.

·         Maintain lifts and pallet jacks to ensure safe and efficient operation.

·         Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.

·         Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

·         Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address equipment-related concerns and optimize performance.

·         Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.

·         Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts inventory, and equipment history.

 

Skills, Experience, and Education:

·         Problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

·         Adaptability to respond effectively to changing priorities and demands.

·         Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with team members and supervisors.

·         Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

·         Ability to work under stressful situations and maintain composure under pressure.

·         Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·         Job trade knowledge in electricity and/or general machine maintenance is required.

·         High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; short-term trades training is a plus.

·         One to three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

·         Regularly required to bend, lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
