Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Quality Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of parts and assemblies through meticulous inspection and testing processes. This position requires a keen attention to detail, proficiency in operating machinery, and adherence to strict quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for assembly and examine them for improper machining.
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure parts with precision.
- Utilize SAP software for inventory tracking and quality management.
- Assemble units according to engineering specifications.
- Use lathe for machining tasks as required.
- Identify problems and develop solutions to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Machining and Test as needed.
- Document inspection records for final pass/fail results and record blowers tested.
- Perform specific tests requested by customers.
- Follow engineering guidelines to ensure testing meets specifications.
- Install keys and may produce and apply nameplates, warning labels, and serial number tags.
Skills Required:
- Previous machining experience and familiarity with quality control processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform continuous manual tasks.
- Proficiency in lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in quality control or related field.
- Familiarity with CMM operation and SAP software preferred.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
