Responsibilities:

Train and supervise mechanics and helpers
Assure all production lines are mechanically set up and ready to run when Build and rebuild parts and equipment as requested
Assure equipment is safe for
Responsible for neatness, safety and security of shop and
Trouble shooting problems with production equipment
Daily shutdown of equipment
Provide expertise to management on capability of lines/equipment for operational decisions

Oversee, or Perform:

Supervises any maintenance contractor
Supervise outside contractors (masons, electricians, plumbers, roofers, ) when needed.
Perform preventive and as needed maintenance to Hi Lows, compressors, pumps, and other equipment.
Performs general maintenance: replacing lights, repairing sinks and toilets, repairing doors and locks, etc.)
Provides special project maintenance: building rooms, running piping and conduit, repairing
Will order parts that are required to finish any
Assisting production mechanics when
Turns on compressors and lights each
First responder for problems with:
- Air Conditioning
- Chillers
- Heat( System
- Minor Electrical
- Dryers
- Air Compressors
Department of Environmental Protection duties include inspection of tank farm, pipes, flanges, secondary containment areas, security systems and flexible Other duties include informing outside contractors of safety procedures and in an evacuation accounting for subcontractors. assist in spill containment and cleanup and will assist in fire extinguisher training.
Hazardous Waste Management duties include backup in all phases of waste collection and Checks outside areas of building including tank farm.
Works with all departments to promote teamwork, efficiency, professionalism & safety
Makes sure all policies, rules and procedures are followed
Sets the example for teamwork, cooperation, safety, respect and work ethic for all employees
Assures that all mechanics use proper safety procedures when servicing equipment (i.e. lockout/tagout)
Emergency Action Plan duties include assisting the Director of Engineering in spill containment and cleanup and leadership in evacuation and accountability of

Education, Training & Experience Requirements:

Preventive Maintenance over sees production and facility

B.S. in Engineering or High School Diploma and 10 years'' experience as industrial mechanic with expertise Lockout/Tagout
