Responsibilities:
Dishwashing: Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashing machines. Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stoves, and ovens. Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and storage areas to prevent contamination.
Trash Removal: Dispose of kitchen garbage and recycling materials in a safe and hygienic manner. Empty trash bins regularly and ensure that waste is properly segregated and disposed of according to regulations.
Assisting Kitchen Staff: Support the kitchen team by assisting with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients. Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations as needed.
Stocking and Inventory: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies. Maintain inventory levels by keeping track of stock and notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
Adhering to Health and Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to address any issues or concerns.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and company policies and procedures at all times.
