Electronic Assembler (Small Units)
SUMMARY: Assemble a limited variety of products with small, light or medium weight parts. Assemble various standard electronic components or finished products. Follow established procedure in assembly operations and work under close supervision using simple assembly and wiring instructions.
- Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams; receives verbal instructions or follows sample board to determine assembly duties and selects components including transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors and integrated circuits
- Twists, bends, trims, strips or files wire leads of components or reams holes in boards to insert wire leads
- Inserts color coded wires in designated holes and clinches wire ends
- Press-fits (mounts) component leads onto board
- Places plastic insulating sleeves around specified wire leads of components and shrinks sleeves into place
- Crimps wire leads on underside of board
- Installs heat sinks, sockets, faceplates and accessories on boards
Monday - Friday. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Some overtime to be expected)
$17.00- 21.00 /HR (DOE)
